SECRETARIAL NOTE

Guwahati Commerce College (1978 BATCH) ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (GCCAA) has been formed with a noble objective to render certain services to our society, which in the present fast paced world seems to conspicuous by its absence. We have taken up certain areas whereby we shall endeavour to protect our Environment, enhance skill of our posterity, inculcate a feeling of respect for the older generation and providing educational support to the needy children.

Through this medium, I extend heartfelt gratitude for embracing us as a team and giving us your support for us to embark in our path of social upliftment. Our agenda has always been to strive for a better society and help it flourish in an all round holistic way. Many issues have cropped up recently in our society which need utmost attention like Polythene hazard and its impact on environment, the unemployment prevailing among the newly educated youths, improper skill development, mismanaged traffic conditions in the city, water logging in areas, floods etc. Our endeavour shall be to address these issues. We intend to go to the root cause of these issues and address them. The government shall be intimated in case of any help which may be needed in the course of rectifying the problems. Our members put their heart and soul in our endeavour so as to make the best out of this association. We solemnly pledge to work unitedly and continually to achieve our goals and thus help our society to get rid of the social evils prevailing so that a wholesome environment prevails for one and all.

We look forward for your support and blessings in the years to come and your active participation and suggestions in the events that may be organised from time to time to create a larger awareness among our younger generation and to groom them to be the flag bearers of our society in the days to come.
